“Jangchunjeong
Pavilion was built by Yu Chung-jeong of the Goheung Ryu family clan in 1561.
Records on the year of its erection are found in Jangchunjeonggi authored by
Gobong Gi Dae-seung. They say that the name, “Jangchunjeong,” was given as the
forests remain green even in winter and flowers bloom throughout the year,
making it feel as though it is spring all year-round.
There were countless
writers and poets who socialized and interacted with one another at the
Jangchunjeong Pavilion, and poems and written works regarding the pavilion were
left by Myeonam Song Sun, Seokcheon Im Eok-ryeong, Wongi Oh Sang, Pungam Im
Bok, Saam Park Sun, Gobong Gi Dae-seung, Yeonpa Park Gae, Sonjae Park Gwang-il,
Baekho Imje, An Wi and Seolbong Kang Baek-nyeon.
